Andromeda improves POS online card processing with 3D Secure

With the increase in internet ordering of delivery food products, exposure to charge backs and fraud is increasingly becoming an issue, both for Customers, Restaurants and card providers.

Andromeda is pleased to announce the availability of 3D secure, which has been introduced by the payment card industry to combat fraud.

3D Secure will offer you several benefits:

• No chargeback liability – once 3D secure is in place, on line transactions will be just as safe as Chip & PIN. This should produce a significant cost saving and reduce the risk of a major exposure to fraud.

• Potential reduced charges from your card acquirer. The majority of UK acquirers will be able to agree reduced charges for cards where 3D Secure is in place for transactions.

• Ability to continue to accept Maestro/ Switch from June 2007. After 1st June 2007, Maestro transactions will require 3D Secure, without it they will be declined. Andromeda can offer this service to all customers using its internet ordering services, and can assure clients that its internet ordering solutions are fully DSS-PCI compliant.
