Andromeda and OrderTalk provide Internet ordering

When Andromeda, the providers of the market-leading Epos system for delivery operators & restaurants wanted to offer the best in web ordering for clients, they looked no further than orderTalk. Like Andromeda, orderTalk are specialists in the foodservice industry – only providing products and services for operators in this sector. Existing clients receive in excess of 20% of their orders via the website, with typical ticket values 15-20% higher than equivalent telephoned orders.

The web ordering product provides a customised web site for clients, with all their relevant branding and reflects the look and feel of their own web sites to provide a consistent image to the market.

The actual menus presented to the customer offer the same options as if they were in the store itself – change toppings, instructions to the chef, etc. Unlike most web services, the service is available 24/7 and customers can order their food up to 14 days in advance. This is a key feature, as some 20% of all orders are placed in advance.

When used in conjunction with Andromeda’s Rameses Epos system in store, the orders are simply dropped onto the chef’s make screen or printed automatically in the kitchen. Future orders are stored and then presented at a pre-determined time in the kitchen.

When a customer registers on the site & places an order, his record is automatically created in the store system in real time.

Menu & pricing changes in the store are automatically sent to the website, so the two are always the same, preventing any discrepancies.

A sophisticated loyalty and customer referral scheme is also available to encourage recommendations and promote customer retention.

The two companies are pleased to announce that Andromeda will act as their agent for the UK and Ireland. They are both keen to make this unique service available to all clients, irrespective of what system they use in store – even “pen & paper”.
